In our medicinal pools, we use the Báthory thermal water that surfaces in Nyírbátor, rich in calcium-magnesium hydrogen carbonate, with a total dissolved salt content of 1526 mg/l.
According to the laboratory report, the medicinal water is suitable for treating rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders. The various minerals, anions, cations, and trace elements found in the water are absorbed through the skin and exert their beneficial effects.

The pleasantly warm 34–36 °C jacuzzi is the ideal choice for those craving a gentle massage experience and soft relaxation. The hotter 36–38 °C jacuzzi provides a deeper, more intense form of relaxation, perfectly relieving everyday stress and muscle tension. The gentle waves and massaging jets of the bubbling water stimulate circulation and refresh both body and soul. Choose the temperature that suits you best and indulge in the luxury of complete pampering!

The beneficial effects of swimming are well known. In our 25-meter sports pool, experienced swimmers can enjoy their laps, while our adjustable-depth training pool offers a safe and joyful swimming experience for the little ones as well.

Learning and play in one place
Teaching pool
At Sárkány Wellness and Spa, we welcome our guests with a unique height-adjustable training pool – a true rarity even in Hungary. The water depth can be set between 40 and 120 cm, making it perfectly adaptable to the needs of different age groups. This pleasantly warm pool hosts swimming lessons for kindergarten and school children, and it also serves as the venue for the “Swimming Nation Program,” launched by the Hungarian Swimming Association in September 2023 in Nyírbátor – a program that continues to thrive successfully. Outside lesson times and on weekends, the training pool transforms into a children’s pool, allowing the little ones to safely enjoy splashing and joyful water experiences.

Competitions and active recreation in one place!
Swimming pool
Our 25-meter, 5-lane swimming pool with a depth of 180 cm is an ideal choice for both professional swimmers and hobbyists alike. The pool regularly hosts various swimming competitions, and has served as the venue for numerous county-level school olympiad finals. It is also the annual site of the highly popular Horváth Gábor Memorial Swim Meet, held in honor of the spa’s former managing director. Beyond competitions, the pool is open on weekdays and weekends for all who wish to swim, train, or simply enjoy some active recreation.
